Virgilio's inscription illiterates the fresco of Peace in the Prudence room and the overall feeling of peace that prevails within the interior of the Catajo Castle.
This program is proposed for family groups of the Armed Forces, Firemen and Special Corps of the State to visit the farm and the Catajo Castle.
Our proposal includes:
- A full day in the farm with meals included.
or - A half day in the farm with meals included and a guided tour of the Catajo Castle.
You may choose from one of our farm:
ALTAURA FARM: At Casale di Scodosia, within walking distance of the Farm, is located the Romanic Chapel of Santa Margherita of Altaura. It is possible to celebrate mass there. Attending holy mass in a rural habitat, immersed in the vegetation and animals of the Farm, can be very evocative.
MONTE CEVA FARM: At Ca Vecchia - Battaglia Terme, within half a mile of the Farm , you can find the church of Turri for a quiet service (there is parking space for buses). It is also a lovely experience to celebrate mass in the forest of MonteCeva Farm, while among the Natural Park Reserve of the Euganean Hills.

PROGRAMME: A DAY IN THE FARM
Armed forces Scheme
Morning
10.30 – 11.00
Welcome and introduction. Delicasies of our organic farm produce. Guided Tastings.
11.00 – 11.45
Short and easy walks inside the farm, weather permitting .
Excursions around the farm can be arranged. From the heights of a farm wagon, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the farm with animal viewing, plants, scents, recognition of traditional farming tools, and rural innovations.
11.45 –12.30
Depending on the season, we organize a variety of activities. We investigate different aspects of life on the farm such as; visiting beehives, making salami, learning about wild and aromatic herbs, and handling the young of the farm (chicks, bunnies, pigglets, pheasants, baby turkeys). We crush grapes with our feet and make syrups and juices from pomegranates and elderflowers. Or, we may sing ancient chants and nursery rhymes as well as recall old sayings and wise proverbs.
At Monte Ceva Farm in Battlaglia Terme you may visit the Monte Ceva Herbarium which holds a collection of 477 plants from the Monte Ceva biotope. The herbarium is well known for its biodiversity richness and has been cataloged by Professor Noemi Tornadore of the Geobotanical Institute of the University of Padova.

Lunch and guided tastings of the farm' organic produce: Antipasto - Main Course - Second Course - Two Side Dishes - Dessert - Freshly Homemade Bread (baked with our own organic flour) - Water, House Wine and Mokacaffe.
14.00 – 15.00
Depending on the season we examine more closely one aspect of farm life.
15.00 - 16.30
Bingo! We play various old school board games, with prizes. The winners will be awarded with our homemade organic farm products.
The farm will be open to the public from 10.30 to 16.30
